is not a distress call.
at least not in this case...
i'm back at school, i moved in on aug. 15, about a week and a half before returning students normally arrive to start traning for SOS.

it is such a beautiful way to serve God. i love getting to spend my day in worship of him. we've already, since we've been back, been on a retreat to palm desert, done role plays, made posters and a welcome to biola sign, put together welcome bags filled with information and stuff, written a personal letter to EVERY incoming student, created contact info cards, drilled the schedule into our heads, and been practicing for our orientation kickoff skit. which is going to be awesome.
i've been in conversation with just a few of my students of the summer, but i cannot wait to meet them all in person on saturday.
we still have so much to do and move-in day starts in approx. 1 day, 15 hours, 30 minutes...YIKES!
my room is a mess, haven't gotten a chance to put things away...so not only is everything in boxes but my room is littered with dirty clothes, papers, and craziness from running in and our of my room.
which by the way, is HOPE :)
so far i love it. the view is phenomenal. i can lay in bed and see the illuminated tower of the library. mmmmmmmm. :)
i can't believe it's all coming together.
all the planning, all the emails, all the prayers, the time, the training...!!!
not to mention all the fun activities...beach day, hang out day, communion, singspo, the academic commencement dinner, thre angels game, serve day...it's all going to be so amazing and all i can hope is that our efforts are pleasing to God.
