confetti

cupcakes.
i'm in the hope kitchen making confetti cupcakes. it's my turn to bring in a snack for my pre-art therapy class (hey, it's 3 hours long, from 7 to 10 monday nights, we get hungry ok?).

i took my theology midterm this morning and, praise the Lord, I actually feel pretty ok about it.

this week is TORREY MEMORIAL BIBLE CONFERENCE!!!
the theme is "sex and the soul" and you know biola is excited.
that means no classes wed-fri for all day, all campus, seminar style conferences!

and mom is flying in on thursday!!! i'm very excited to spend my birthday with her.
on friday the both of us along with jess, abby, deb, and sarah (plus other people i don't think i know) are driving 3.5 hours north to visalia (deb and sarah's hometown). friday night=cornmaze and maybe carving pumpkins!!!
saturday...MY 21st BIRTHDAY. sheesh i am getting to be an old lady.
i am so blessed to spend my birthday surrounded by friends and family and to see my cousin andrew get married. sunday, family picnic at the little ranch north of fresno to celebrate FOUR october birthdays :) it's going to be an all around awesome week.

donna theonnes spoke this morning in chapel about gratefulness. it was just what i needed-not something i knew i needed, but definitely a message that spoke to my heart.
she talked about colossians, how paul was in prison, but still his heart sang with joy and greatfulness because life, even life in jail, with Christ is so amazing. shouldn't that be our attitude?
